Wedding Photographer Ibiza Cala Carbo

Wedding Photographer Ibiza Cala Carbo.  I first met Linzi in March of this year when she came to my studio for a mother and daughter photo shoot.  I noticed she had an engagement ring on we started chatting about her imminent wedding, dates and location.  She told me September of 2016. Then to my excitement, Linzi told me that it was going to be at Cala Carbo in Ibiza, my ears soon pricked up.  This  is a truly magical place.  Somewhere in my previous life, living in Ibiza,  I had visited many times.  We discussed the photography  packages that Linzi and Daz were considering booking.  I eagerly told Linzi just how well I know the Island.  I had lived there from 1999-2003 as a nightclub photographer.  I told her I would love the opportunity to photograph their wedding. We chatted about where Daz had proposed, in Glastonbury,  three  years ago.  This confirmed they were my type of people! We discussed the offer that I prooosed and she said she would talk it over with her fiancé Daz later that day. Guess what?  They were back to pay the deposit the very next day, whoopee, wedding of the year booked. I had already spoke to my mate and ex business partner, Glyn,  to see if i could stay at his place.  Glyn now owns a couple of restaurants out there one called Relish and the other Tapas.Time to book the flight along and hire car.

I arrived on the Sunday night, meeting up with most of the wedding party who were enjoying a lovely chilled cocktail at a bar called The Beach. We finalised the final details for the next day’s wedding.  Typically it turned out to be the hottest day ever recorded in September, in Ibiza, well since 1965  anyway!  A sweltering 38.5 Degrees WOW caliente.

The day was lush, I enjoyed every moment. All the guests made me feel relaxed, Linzi looked absolutely stunning, as did the rest of the wedding party and guests.  I think the photos tell the story of the day.

To top off the day for me, Galvin, Linzi’s dad, asked me if I would photograph the evening reception of their UK wedding day.  Of course I accepted.

It was a super wedding, with fantastic people, I loved it. I took the opportunity to stay for a few more days,  toaking the opportunity to catch up with some old friends. I have even booked in three more weddings for next year,  hope my wife Claire can make it out for at least one, if not all of them.
