Wedding Photographer Cathedral Quarter Derby, The wedding of Katie and Lee Neicho on Friday August 4th 2017, possibly the most relaxed wedding of the year so far.

I arrived at the Spectacular Cathedral Quarter Hotel at 11am, giving me plenty of time to capture some fabulous bridal prep photos of both bride and groom.   Managing to keep them separate before the 12.30 ceremony.   Katie appeared to be feeling relaxed, consuming a glass of fizz whilst having fresh flowers in her hair and being made up.  Bridesmaid, Tamsin, Katie’s 14 year old step daughter was also enjoying being pampered.  Lee’s mum and dad Linda & Brad and brother Curtis had travelled over from Australia for the Big Day.  Lee’s home country.   Curtis and the second Best Man Dan managed to keep Lee calm downstairs in the bar with his parents and a few of the boys.   I managed to use this down time to capture a few more shots.

26 guests in total for the ceremony which was held in a magnificent room in the Hotel.  Katie’s dad Steve, proudly gave her away.  Walking down the aisle they were closely followed by Thomas, their two year old son hand in hand with Tamsin.  Linda and Lesley, Katie and Lee’s mum’s, where called upon to be witnesses.

After the ceremony we filtered out of the room for a few more formal shots, firstly utilising the grand staircase then moving outside.  Thankfully the weather had held out and the little ones enjoyed throwing the confetti at the newly weds.
I even managed a little catch up with Simon Williams, who I know from the local.

Time for speeches and the cutting of the cake.  Speeches were informal and gave me lots of opportunity to capture the expression on the guests and wedding parties faces.  I then disappeared whilst afternoon tea was enjoyed by all.

At 6.30pm I headed over to the house where everyone had gone back to to continue celebrations.   Greeted in the garden with a welcome banner for Mr and Mrs Neicho the celebrations commenced.  I even got to try a the delicious home made lamb Curry, curtesy  of Sharon Williams, from a Rick Stein recipe.  With a whole bulb of garlic in it was delicious.  A steaming beef hot pot and plenty of beers were also consumed.
